Who threw the best olympic temper tantrum so far?

October 29th, 2008 by admin

Would it be Mark Spitz, for not being invited to Beijing?

Or, would it be that weightlifter who threw his bronze medal on the ground and declared no getting a gold was “a failure” and that he was quitting his sport?

I agree it was the weightlifter, a but unbelievable that someone actually did it. Personally I would love winning a bronze, it would make you feel a sense of achievement.

    The weightlifter, by far.

If that’s the way one acts when they aren’t the best, then they don’t even deserve to be at the games, and SHOULD quit. Olympics isn’t only about winning, it’s about good sportsmanship. I’ve seen 7 year olds take a loss better than that guy.

Well of course it was that idiot weightlifter who threw his medal down and stomped off like an unruly 3rd grader. What a loser.
